In 1567 the Spanish discovered what is now known as The Treasure Coast, when discovered they referred to the area as Santa Lucia.

The Santa Lucia River Club at Ballantrae is a full service, private country club offering championship golf, tennis, swim, fitness and dining.

Located on the picturesque St. Lucie River, just north of historic Downtown Stuart. Minutes from Atlantic beaches, hospitals and schools.

Santa Lucia River Club is an eighteen hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. In 2006 the course underwent a major renovation overseen by Jack Nicklaus. The course has been updated to reflect todays high standards of maintenance and is a demanding test of the game.
  
Three Har Tru tennis courts are currently in use.  A new four court complex is planned along with a tennis pro shop and snack bar.
  
A full size heated pool and spa are a popular family gathering place overlooking the wide St. Lucie River
